When a carrier calls, we ask for an MC or DOT number. We hit the FMCSA SAFER API in real time and confirm authority status, insurance validity, and safety rating — before we read out a single load.
If anything's stale, expired, or doesn't match, we politely end the call and log the attempt. Brokers don't have to wonder if a carrier is real. We don't book loads with carriers who aren't in good standing. That's the entire policy.
